An applicant needs to furnish evidence and demonstrate sufficient knowledge, experience, competence and skill, in
accordance with Notice 1101 current in force.
There are two options to become an aircraft maintenance licensing personnel: –
- Self-Study, by
– passing relevant module examination,
– completing the appropriate practical assessment, and
– demonstrate evidence of recent practical maintenance experience on operating aircraft; or
- Enroll into a CAAM Part-147 Maintenance Training Organisation,
– completed a basic training course by obtaining a certificate of recognition issued under the provision of Notice 1201
where both modules examination and practical assessment has been passed and completed.

In both cases the applicant shall be at least 21 years of age.
